Nicholas Lopez
President
Nicholas Lopez is a proud husband and father of three with a lifelong passion for the outdoors. When he’s not camping, saltwater fishing, or working on his land with the dream of starting a nursery, he’s leading Virginia Landscape Management with dedication and care.
Nicholas began mowing lawns just after high school in the early 2000s, quickly discovering his love for the landscape industry and the strong relationships it builds. Over the years, that passion has grown into a career built on hard work, education, and a commitment to excellence.
In 2016, Nicholas expanded his expertise with advanced training in snow operations and management, helping V.L.M. become one of Virginia’s largest self-performing snow and ice management companies. As a proud member of the Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA), he regularly attends courses and seminars to keep his skills sharp and his team prepared. In 2018, he became a certified commercial turf applicator, and in 2020, V.L.M. joined the Irrigation Association (IA) to strengthen its knowledge in proper watering practices and water conservation.
Today, Nicholas continues to lead with passion, combining hands-on experience with industry expertise to ensure V.L.M. delivers exceptional service in every season
Carlos Meza
Account Manager
Carlos joined the Virginia Landscape Management team adding 15 years of maintenance and enhancement experience to the team, starting out as a foreman to then leading a crew of more than 30+ employees to maintaining more than 300 + commercial landscape sites.
Carlos takes infinite pride in his work and his employees. With his well-known foundation of landscape experience, Carlos has been photographed in landscape magazines and added to company websites where he was awarded for his enhancement quality, sales and great work. Before relocating to the Fredericksburg area with his family, Carlos was providing services in Virginia Beach, Hampton, Norfolk, Williamsburg, and surrounding areas.
Branden Click
Irrigation Manager
Branden has been a valued member of Virginia Landscape Management for over eight years, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry. He began as a Crew Leader and quickly advanced to Production Manager, then Account Manager, before becoming Irrigation Manager—a role he has excelled in for the past five years.
In this position, Branden oversees irrigation system design, installation, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring efficient and sustainable solutions for clients. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he builds strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members, fostering trust and long-term partnerships. Proudly born and raised in Virginia, Branden enjoys outdoor adventures in his free time and is an avid fisherman who finds relaxation and inspiration in nature.
Greg Newman
Construction Manager
Greg Newman is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of self-employment and industry expertise spanning landscaping, construction, and property management. Known for his deep operational knowledge, honesty, client-focused approach, and innovative outdoor design solutions, Greg has built a trusted reputation for delivering exceptional results by combining craftsmanship, sustainability, and strategic foresight.
Specializing in drainage, stormwater management, grading, and new installations, he possesses hands-on mastery of every stage of outdoor improvements—from initial site planning and permitting to the final detail work that ensures long-lasting quality.
Over the course of his career, Greg has successfully managed and executed numerous large-scale residential, municipal, and commercial projects. He integrates eco-conscious practices, advanced equipment, and creative design concepts to enhance both visual appeal and long-term functionality. His leadership in Landscape Management is characterized by a commitment to integrity, quality, and efficiency, fostering enduring client relationships while streamlining processes to reduce costs, improve timelines, and exceed expectations.
Greg’s strengths include leading diverse teams, negotiating with precision, and solving complex site challenges, often turning problematic terrain and tight deadlines into well-executed success stories. A hands-on leader, he is equally skilled at managing budgets, coordinating contractors, and working in the field alongside his crews. Outside of work, Greg stays connected to his roots—enjoying hunting, fishing, and hands-on work at his family’s farm—pursuits that reflect his deep appreciation for the land and fuel his passion for creating and preserving vibrant, functional spaces that harmonize with nature.
Justin Lamoy
Account Manager
Justin has been in the landscape industry for over 13 years. He started by doing small yard clean-ups in high school, and then realizing his passion for the green industry, started working for a local company located in Fredericksburg. Justin would work for that same company for nine and a half years.
Starting out as a crew member, he was able to work his way up to enhancement crew leader, followed by maintenance crew leader. After just a few years of being a maintenance crew leader, Justin was again promoted, this time to decided to production manager. This would be a role that he kept for the following 4 years before making his home here at V.L.M.
Katy Vasquez
Office Administrator
Katy brings over seven years of customer service experience to her role as Office Administrator at Virginia Landscape Management. She oversees daily office functions, coordinates administrative tasks, and ensures smooth communication across all departments. Known for her organization, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence, Katy plays an essential role in keeping operations running efficiently and supporting the company’s success.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, she values building strong relationships with clients and coworkers alike. Outside of work, Katy is a devoted wife and proud mother of two. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active in her community.
Joyce Lopez
Office manager / Accounts Payable-Receivables
With over 50 years of experience in the transportation industry, Joyce spent more than three decades specializing in international relocations as a senior account manager. Her career allowed her to work closely with multiple clients, coordinating schedules, dispatching crews, managing claims, and leading a team to deliver seamless service.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in the garden, planting flowers, and being outdoors. In the summer, you’ll often find her at the pool or the beach, and she especially treasures time with her children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Cooking for family and friends is another passion that brings her joy.
After retiring two years ago, she wasn’t quite ready to slow down. Wanting to stay active and continue using her office experience, she joined VLM—this time, with the added bonus of working alongside her son.
